Hearts of Gold Motorcycle Ride for Grandview Kids

The Durham Chapter of the Harley Owners Group rode to benefit children and youth with special needs. The Hearts of Gold Ride 2012 raised over $12,000 for the over 1200 children in Durham Region currently waiting to access critical therapy services at Grandview Children’s Centre.
The 5th annual ride benefitted Grandview Kids in their desire to give back to their community. Over 200 riders took to the streets of Durham to demonstrate their “hearts of gold” while raising funds. “We are very happy for community partners who make a big difference to our children each day,” says Vicky Earle, Grandview Children’s Foundation. “We love the fact that we can see first hand the difference in the children that we help”, says Diane Green of the Harley Owners Group.
Chevrolet makes a dream come true for Grandview teen

Chevrolet, a great friend of Grandview Kids and a proud partner of the Canadian Paralympic Committee will give a child with special needs the opportunity to enjoy the excitement and joy of the Paralympic Games.
Amanda Power is a competitive equestrian whose goal in life has been to one day compete at the Olympics. Despite the challenges of Cerebral Palsy, Amanda has never been deterred from her mission. Described as having a “heart of gold”, she is thrilled at the opportunity to get a preview of what fulfilling her dream would be like.
RBC collects pennies for Grandview Kids

Launch of 5 Million Penny Drive…Branches of RBC in Durham Region will be collecting pennies on behalf of Grandview Children’s Foundation in support of Grandview Children’s Centre. Persons are invited to bring in their pennies to select locations between May 1 and June 30, 2012.
