Workplace giving is a fun and rewarding experience for everyone
We have compiled the most successful workplace campaign ideas from our donors, and we hope that you will either tailor them to your workplace or build upon these ideas for your campaign. But most of all, we hope that your coworkers will be inspired by your hard work and dedication to making your Workplace Fundraising Campaign for Grandview Children’s Foundation a great success!
Office Theme Parties
Organize a Halloween costume party, a Winter Holiday party, Valentine’s party or an End of Summer social. The themes are endless and offer a fun and exciting way for the whole office to participate and socialize.
“A-Thons”
Host a walk-a-thon, bike-a-thon, skate-a-thon, etc. Coworkers can compete individually or the event can become a departmental challenge.
Draw or Silent Auction
Collect prizes for your draw or auction, such as gift certificates, gift baskets, sports tickets, art, lunch with your president, a one-week vacation, or a parking space for a year. Suggest a minimum donation for draw ticket and auction items.
Dress Down Days
Talk to your Human Resources department about designating Fridays as casual day in exchange for donations to Grandview Children’s Foundation.
Challenge Events
These events are growing in popularity. Have a rock climbing team, marathon training group, dragon boat racing or volleyball team that trains together and fundraises for Grandview Children’s Foundation at the same time.
Staff/Member Golf Tournament
A golf tournament is a great way to generate office camaraderie and team spirit. By having your company sponsor the event to cover costs, and having staff purchase tickets to the event, you are sure to have a successful event that is a draw for many in the organization. If golf is not a draw in your company, any sporting activity can generate the same results.
Monthly Giving Campaign/Payroll Deductions
Set a timeline for a campaign to take place in your office. Promote the monthly giving campaign in your office, hang Grandview posters, circulate newsletters and tell personal Grandview stories at campaign meetings or during lunch. Choose a canvass committee to solicit your coworkers by distributing a monthly giving pledge form, which will be supplied by Grandview Children’s Foundation. Or, simply ask your Human Resources department to begin a tax-deductible monthly gift from your pay cheque.
